Ok, I think it's time that I broke my LJ silence. I'm trying to stay awake and avoid working, so I think this is the right time. There've been a few times lately that I've wanted to post something, but when it actually got to the point of trying to sit down and type something out, it was just too overwhelming to think about.

yep, it's my belief that blog posting is inversely related to one's social life. as you can see i never miss a day on my blog. good to hear you're doing well.

I don't know - I used to keep up with it when I was pretty busy. I think I turned vapid once I moved out to southern CA and I don't do any deep thinking anymore.

Coming out to SD anytime soon?

maybe you're right. it is interesting to look back on my own blog and see when my writing was most inspired. maybe not a lot of deep thinking in sd but at least happy thoughts.

i'd like to get back soon. maybe labor day. also good chance i could be moved back by feb.

That's good news - I assume you'd be excited to come back? It's much better to catch up over beers than blogs!

Congrats on the mature relationship - they're hard to come by! Sounds like you've got a great summer going on, and I'm really glad to hear that your mom's coming to visit. Good luck with your ULTIMATE DESIRED JOB LOCATION - is it who I think it is (large facility with many critters)?

You are correct. After the interview I wasn't quite sure that the position was exactly as advertised, and that it might not be exactly what I was looking for. But I'd certainly like the opportunity to make the yea or nay decision.

I don't actually have that much to say in response -- just wanted you to know I'm reading this and thinking about you. I haven't posted in a long time too. We successfully moved to B-more, and while the commute is awesome, the job is terrible. Funny you mention organ selling. I have to give one away for free (no worries, I'll be fine, just a litle one). I hope the UDJL works out. Working sucks in general, but in the specifics it can be a lot better some places than others.

Hey - it's so good to hear from you. I've been thinking about you guys and your recent move, too. Has the separation from Greenbelt been hard? You'll have to send some pics of the new place. You'll also have to give details about the organ. Yikes!!

I'm with you on the terrible job. I wonder if we missed the boat by not making our fortune by copyrighting that really-long-expletive-filled-Web-domain-name that we came up with during a carpool one day (do you remember that?) or by selling "Hey crappy band, give me back my cillia" t-shirts.
