Looks like a bunch of great gifts! (YAY for the WaS DVD!) Your shelf is cool, too; I really need to get something to display my Johnnys stuff because I've been shelling out money and expanding my collection lately.

Unfff Yukio~ I haven't watched the other two dramas yet, but I have "Mukudono" downloaded and waiting to be watched soon. And speaking of dramas, I LOVED "Star no Koi"! It was kind of cheesy sometimes, but I loved it a lot. I'm a sucker for stories like that. :3 I need to watch more non-Kimura SMAP dramas too, though, lol.

And I'll toss in another ♥ for the SMAP con DVD because it was fantastic. x3

I was sooo happy that my mom agreed to buying me the DVD for Christmas ♥
Cool, I guess you must have a lot of merchandise after the sudden CD-increase this Christmas ^_^ Sadly I don't own that much from SMAP yet u.u

In fact I only started Star no Koi after I read you commenting about it in your (?) last entry I think LOL
I thought about watching it some time ago, but forgot again XD Until now, I really like it - I'm a fan of these types of drama in general, where the main character is more on the dense side >_<

The SMAP DVD cannot be fangirled over enough ♥

Oh, and about Mukodono, I loved Tomoya in that role - especially in the 1st season (although the 2nd is also really funny, if you are really knowledgable about Japanese TV and TV personalities ^^)
I can only recommend you to watch it ♥

I'll be sure to move it up in priority on my list of things to watch, then. :D Is the second one subbed? I think I only have the first one downloaded.

I was really happy that my mom agreed to buying it for me - it's soooo expensive (X.X)
Most of my CDs and other stuff are 2nd hand actually - I bought it at Book Off in Japan, so it was incredibly cheap, but still looked like new. Otherwise I could've never afforded to buy them ^^

You got some great gifts... 8D I never get any present even from my birthday... So I usually just buy what I want... or sometimes win a contest I participate and get some merchandise... That is called present to myself. XDDD

Normally I also don't get so many presents for Christmas, I was rather surprised myself...

What kind of contests do you take part in?
I love participating in Cosplay competitions with my friends, and we even win sometimes, but other than that I don't really do anything contest-like. u.u

Not the performance contest-like... Cosplay is not my thing... o_o; It's more like sms contest where you just answer a few questions... and hope to win... haha... I won a few times... like anime dvd, movies merchnadise, keychains etc...

I used to draw a lot and sent to a comic magazines that featured your drawings and comment on them... If I got featured in there, I'll get some of their merchandisess like pics, postcards, straps, keychains, notepad etc... XD

LOL - I didn't want to shock you with my Cosplay-addiction XD
I just don't do any other contest-like things. At least, since I graduated that is...

I think it's really cool that you enter those contests, especially the drawing one O.O You must be really good if you get your pictures printed in a magazine (*.*)

Cool - a friend of my mother takes care of a chinese Student atm because of a student exchance programm where her son takes part too ^^
The Chinese girl apparently is also used to celebrating New Year as a huuge event, so when she heard that we don't really do that, she seemed a bit sad XD
I guess in your part of the world New Year is much more important than where I live ö.O

YES THIS IS SUCH A SEWING MACHINE!!!!!! I also cannot believe it - I'm still playing around with the already stored images (mostly normal stiches or little images like cars, fishes or even the Alphabet)
But I plan to program at least hiragana & katakana in it too - as soon as I find out how to do that XD

~yay! I even positioned it to be spotted, so I'm happy - but in fact the whole 3rd and 4th shelf are KinKi-only ^^

I knew that CNY isn't on the same day as our new year because of a different calender system or something...
In my country it's mostly common to celebrate Christmas with the family and Silveter/New Year with friends - I'm also invited to a party on Silvester ^^
(with stupid but funny traditions like lead-pouring = you heat leat until it melts and put it into a glass of water - the form of again solidified lead should tell you what happens to you in the new year, like marriage, great fortune etc)

OMFG - I SOOO DO THAT!!! I try storing the family logo ^^omg omg - WHY DIDN'T I THINK ABOUT THAT MYSELF u.u

I have a seperate magazine shelf, but as you hardly get your hands onto japanese mags in Europe, I don't have that much...T_T
