Your comment about my chainshirt the other week got me thinking. So I went out and bought 200' of steel wire. I bought 16 gauge, but I'm worried that the wire I used years ago was actually 14 gauge, just a tad thicker. But I'm going to go ahead and use this on the backside. With Misty's help, I got all the springs made in under an hour, and then I'm just spending the rest of the evening and into the night cutting those springs into individual circles. There's a good chance I'll be finishing this project this year :)

I changed my mind. I realized that the 16 gauge wire was just too flimsy, so I bought another 100' of 14 gauge, and made the springs and spent all afternoon cutting those springs. From the amount of rings I got from it, it looks like maybe I'll have to buy another 100-200' of wire.
