I'm so uncool

Until today, I lived my life oblivious to what shall be the greatest film epic of our time...

That's right, Snakes on a Plane.

I laughed myself stupid just reading the wikipedia article; this could be the next Army of Darkness.

"The snakes have control of the Senate and the Courts. They're too dangerous to be kept alive"...oh wait...never mind.

Why do I feel the need to cheer everytime I hear that title?

I'll let Samuel L. field that one... zombyshakespear July 18 2006, 16:44:17 UTC
On June 3, 2006, Samuel L. Jackson said, while presenting the award for best movie at the MTV Movie Awards:

"I'm here tonight to present the award everyone's been waiting for: best movie. This award holds a special place in my heart because next year I'll be winning it for Snakes on a Plane. Now I know, I know that sounds cocky, but I don't give a damn. I'm guaranteeing that Snakes on a Plane will win best movie next year. Does not matter what else is coming out. New James Bond... no snakes in that! Ocean's 13... where my snakes at? Shrek the Third... green, but not a snake. No movie shall triumph over Snakes on a Plane. Unless I happen to feel like making a movie called Mo' Motha-fuckin' Snakes on Mo' Motha-fuckin' Planes."

Wow, dude. Where've you been?

(In unrelated news, my birthday celebration MAY include a viewing of this film at a cinema TBD.)

The usual excuses for being uncool: working, studying, not having cable.

Sweet.

Hi Mark. :)

I think if I hadn't been hanging out with Rymo on a regular basis, it would've taken a while for "Snakes on a Plane" to enter my radar, too. I blame it on not watching TV and not going to see movies very often. But if you hang out with Rymo even a little bit, Snakes on a Plane is completely unavoidable.
