I know...it was terrible in other states...you'd try to find balanced information beforehand, then have to remember names. Often you'd end up voting by party because you just can't remember 20 different names. This is what the parties want.

They don't want informed voters; they want you to just vote by 1 of 2 party lines.

This year was quite unique for me. I think it's time the Democrats took congress for a few years.
I think congress should change hands at least every 10 years. Any party that has power for longer than that gets too entrenched in special interests and starts to overspend. The Democrats were the same way in 1994 after controlling the House of Representatives for over 30 years.

I don't have that much faith in the postal service, and it's asking for mail fraud. The manuals and user guides, though, are a good touch.

That seems like a wonderful system. I wonder if more people end up voting because they can mail their ballots in at their leisure? I wish that ALL states took it upon themselves to fully inform voters--go Oregon!
