The Mist

Michael and I watched Stephen Kings' 'The Mist' last night for the first time. I guess I was expecting it to be somewhat cheesy - in the made for TV sort of way. The first half of the movie seemed like your run of the mill horror movie....rather predictable....then the second half came along.....and kicked me in the ass. I don't want to spoil it

We watched that movie not that long ago and just loved it-so creepy and not because of the scary monsters...but the people!! The end just killed me...when they were in the car I kept saying, "don't loose hope!" and it just broke my heart!

When the movie ended I could feel my heart racing...it was so strange. At the end, I too, kept thinking "He would never do that, it CAN'T end like that!"

I have to hand it to Stephen King on this one - he really got me.

I'll have to check it out! I don't know if I can take it though--being a mom has completely re-sensitized me; I can hardly watch horror at all now :)
