My heart hurts right now. My mom was next door and her phone was ringing, so I answered it for her. It was my aunt, and she told me to get my mom to call her back, and we hung up, no big deal. Then I was sort of looking through her messages and decided to see what my dad was saying to her. BIG mistake

People still care about their parent even if they are a bit of an arse. My dad's father was a complete and utter asshole but my dad still treated him with respect and always gave him a chance to turn around their relationship if he wanted to. The guy never got to know me or my sister but that was his own fault. I admire my dad for being able to be such a wonderful human.

I've never been through a parent divorce but understand it must be really hard, especially if it's full of conflict. I hope things go better for you, love *hug*

Thank you. <3 It's hard. I know I shouldn't give up on him and should keep giving him chances, but... I've done that my whole life, he's gotten tons of chances, and he's never showed any real change, or even desire to change. But for now at least, I think it's best if I don't talk to him at all until he starts acting like an adult. But thank you for the support, I'll be okay. :)
