i have tried accutane three times; it is no panacea, and don't believe your doctor if s/he tells you it is.

that said, it was pretty helpful. just, i had to take twice the recommended dose for my weight, it didn't work the second time, the side effects were pretty extreme, and the intended effects were incomplete and extremely time-limited.

I recently started using Clinique's acne line and it has worked so well! I highly recommend trying it before going on such a harsh medication.
