Parents came to visit, and left Saturday. While it was nice to see them, their visit wasn't a particularly enjoyable one for several reasons. I'm glad it's over, and am hoping the next time I see them, it'll be under happier circumstances

I only sort of knew of "the guy you mentioned" and yeah, struck me as a fairly level-headed type but I guess ya never know as they say. That is too bad though. :\

Also sorry to hear re: the neighbors & family stuff. :P. Was wondering if you'd be around online but glad to see you check in here at least. Good luck with your trip if I don't see you!

Yeah...same here. I definitely did a double take when I read what'd happened.

I'm around-ish this week, leaving right after classes Friday though so I won't be around for several days. Should be back Tuesday, unless I meet a "grizzly" end ;)

That sucks about the neighbor with the puppy. It is sad that such people get a dog.

As for the person you've mentioned, I can pretty much confirm that where I saw his name the most wasn't in the furry fandom. It really was a tragic way to go. Depression that severe is truly devestating for more than just the person suffering.

I don't know what possessed them to think, "hey, we just had the police come by our place and have alienated our neighbors--let's get a puppy!!". I'm guessing they either got her as a passive-aggressive means of getting back at us, or they really are just that stupid.

I'm pretty sure I've seen him elsewhere too, though I can't remember exactly where it was, and was a while ago. At least he's not suffering anymore though...
