So this weekend Lemuel was pretty set on going to Vanderbilt. So set that we had our conversation about living in Nashville, and I'd even contacted a friend of mine who lives there to see if she could host me when I took Lemuel out for the first day of school. Very exciting! I'm guessing since you mentioned computer science, that's what he wants to study? Yay!

Yes, that's what he WANTS to study. Alas, he's on the waiting list for the computer science program. So, since he'd seriously considered double-majoring in math/CS, he's going in as a math major with a minor in computer science. (They don't restrict the number of people who minor in CS!)

I think most schools didn't believe at first that our respective incomes actually were that low. We had to submit additional documentation for the FAFSA at some point, and I think that CMU got that information just a few days ago--hence the last-minute revised FA offer.
