i am sooooo scared about college and if i get in or not to the college i would like to go to....this puts like soooo much stress on me... grrrrr...but yeah, i am not going to do early decision for UF...i wont have everything ready for them by OCtober 1st...so i am going to do the regualar decision, which is to get all ur stuff in before January

hey, it's Luisa, umm yeah I don't know if you remember me, but oh well I read your post and I want to give you some advice. UF has stupid rolling admissions whether they say it or not, if you can your stuff in for October 1st it would be so great, many good students got rejected last year (including me) for regular decision and their excuse was that they had all spaces full, when in early decision alot of people got in (some that barely even met the minimum requirements..e.g 3.5 weighted gpa and a 970 sat). I'm not saying you'll be rejected, but I am saying it is tougher to get in making sure your application is early enough so that you're reserved a spot, it pissed me off that they didn't even look for qualified candidates just if they had space or not. Either way, I wish you the best of luck with your college applications and don't have second thoughts about NYU, it's a great school :)...lol i wrote too much

same thing for me (about being rejected from uf)...dont worry if you start now you can get all your stuff in by the deadline. its very very worth it to do early decision

Luisa! of course i remember u!!! lol...but oooh man dude, thanx like a billion trillion about this college stuff cuz i was sooooooo confused that if i should do early decision or regular decision, but i have a question, like i took the SATs, but like i want to increase my score so i am taking that in november, could i send them my SAT scores after, even though i send them my application in by October 1st? and i am also taking my ACTs on October 23rd.... but like dont u have to have that stuff done by october 1st? and again thanx sooooo much for replying on my lj..imma add u, lol! mwahz

Fortunately, I can't tell the story of how UF rejected me. but what I can tell you is that I DID apply early decision, and it does help! I didn't get accepted at the same time as the rest of the other early decision candidates, I was deferred, but what did happen is one of the deans of admissions saw my file and contacted me about it. It let the university know that I took a strong interest in their school, and from there they will work with you. I may not have got in with early decision, or even got in under the fall 2004 term, however, because I did I was able to come in under the Summer B Term. Try to get as much of your stuff in as possible by October 1st. You don't need all of it, and yes, despite what they say, IT IS ROLLING! And if you don't make the early decision, make the early actoin deadline, just turn stuff in as you finish it.
