I've been watching The Olympics non-stop... for obvious reasons among other things. [giggle ahahahahahahahaha hehehehe]

Tonight Apolo Anton Ohno has advanced to the semifinals in the Men's 1000m short track. Well, I rather like the young fellow, and he is American and so am I. [the chuckling]Ganymede come and watch with me. Do you remember when ( Read more... )

Thank you, darling. But the past week has made television a great escape.

It was still a good race, and I know Korea is supposed to be the best... but do you think he tried his best? They say he made a world record and everything.

If he tried his best he should have won.

He's a great athlete most definitely and you're right, he did beat this times from the quarter and semifinals. I suppose he tried his best--you're right, Ganymede.

... why do you keep saying that? You're being silly; it was just something I thought!

But, um... thanks for inviting me over though. Watching TV in the apartment by myself isn't very much fun. And I hope you enjoyed the games, even if Ohno didn't win!

Well he has more races on the 24, hopefully he can win gold.

It is rather disappointing.

Though, to be fair, he did catch up rather admirably, given that he'd been in fifth place moments prior. Had the whole thing happened on the previous lap, I believe that he could have won.

And now he may be too old to compete in the next games.

But he still has the opportunity for more gold medals this time around.

There is still hope.

Well he did win the silver in the 1500m and still has the 500m, so there is time for a comeback.

Did you watch him during the Salt Lake games in 2002? He was fantastic.

Splendid. But remind me to take you to London for the next summer games. Those are even more spectacular to watch.

Persephone, you know I've missed you. With your husband being so occupied with work, I see no reason we shouldn't spend more time together.
