Ok, this Kerrang! CD has got me conflicted. I mean, I can't seek out and get a CD which has Fightstar doing a cover of Deftones (or has any Fightstar track on it at all), but on the other hand, I can't not seek out and get a CD which has Dillinger Escape Plan covering Soundgarden's Jesus Christ Pose. Dillinger Escape Plan will release the track as a b-side or what-not, eventually.

Get it, record the tracks you want to your computer and hide the original cd under your bed, or destroy it if you so wish. Make your own cd with whatever tracks you want!

I think that is an acceptable compromise.

At least the Fighstar cover pays respect to the original. And I actually like Fightstar.

However, some of the other songs on this make me want to find the bands responsible and just.....urrrrh..............vomit into a hammer shaped mould, freeze it, and BEAT THEM TO DEATH WITH A HAMMER OF PUKE!

(I mean, 36 Crazyfists covering Digging The Grave? That in itself is blasphemous. Not to mention Still Remains doing NIN or Avenged Sevenfold's horrible version of Walk...)

The only decent song on it is NOFX's cover of Straight Edge, which came out ooh, 15 years ago? Fuck that shit, y'all.
