Mom went back to the neurosurgeon for her follow-up visit today and the lesion on her brain has shrank even more. So basically she needs to finish up therapy and she'll get to go home.

Thanks again to everyone for the good thoughts...all were appreciated and I cannot say that enough.

It looks like Mom may be getting to come home as early as Monday. To make a long story short, it looks like her infection all came from the initial urinary tract infection that went berserk. Her bad back and leg pain is from a cracked vertebrae in her back, go team osteoperosis for that one. -_- Once home she's going to have to have someone stay ( Read more... )

Mom was released from the hospital today, but she's still not herself, so my time online will still be somewhat limited. But, she is definitely a lot better than she was before, so things are looking up ( Read more... )

Mom wound up having to go to the hospital yesterday. After 6 hours in the emergency room, she was admitted. Right now she's dehydrated, has a urinary tract infection, and her white blood cell count is up. I have the feeling she may be kept a couple more days to do tests, but I'll find out more later ( Read more... )
