Please advise

Okay, my right foot is still retaining enough water that it is a few millimeters thicker than the left foot. This means I still can't get into 95% of my shoes. Any home remedies (or OTC meds) to drop this last smidge of water weight? It's driving me batty though at least the weather is such that I don't mind wearing sandals or the *sigh* crocs all ( Read more... )

  • We got on the Buffy/Angel train and are to Angel season 4
  • Arrested Development made it into our 'bought it' column and is just darn funny
  • House is good, but might be too thinky
  • Blue's Clues would prep you for later, and the 1st 2 seasons are on Netflix Instant (I like Steve better than Joe, but I am less wierded out by Joe now that I have seen him in more than the 'I drank the Steeler offensive line under the table last night and I still had to make this darn kids show' episode)
  • Fraggle Rock

Oh man, I forgot we own Arrested Development. I will rewatch that after we move since all of our dvds are packed.

I don't know why I've always been hesitant to jump on the Whedon train, but maybe now is a good time to start since that would take awhile whereas we sometimes run through an entire series in a few days.

Do I need to watch House from the start for it to make sense? I have a couple of seasons from my mom, but I think it's 2 & 3.

No. The story arcs cover multiple episodes, but each "medical mystery" is self-contained, and very little story development was done in season one anyway.

Big Bang Theory.

And, if you're in for an hour:
Chuck
Pushing Daisies

I second Pushing Daisies! Also, you might like Leverage. (I'll admit that I have no idea if these are hour or half-hour shows) I've heard that Deadwood is really good, and that's next on my To Watch list.

a) Go to a health product store and buy their "lose ten pounds in two days" bottle o' juice? I'm pretty sure all it does is dehydrate you.

b) We just finished watching ALL of Scrubs. It took a few months.

Good call. I need to watch the rest of Black Adder since I have only seen season 2.

I hear Big Bang Theory is fun, but I've not watched it.

Stop with NewsRadio once Phil Hartman dies though. They tried, and it was okay, but it's still a disappointment.

Fortunately, four seasons of Newsradio is available on Hulu and they've thoughtfully ignored the fifth.

Yeah, rub it in. Hulu (like Netflix) isn't available in Canada (and apparently it's pretty smart at detecting proxies).
