google "uv blocking window film" its a clear film, made for windows to prevent fading of interiors. i don't know if there are any auto window tinting places around you, but that would be a place to get a small quantity. good luck!

You could hang fabric on the interior of the glass in an easily removable way, such as hooks, or pins, or what-have-you. I wasn't sure how much you wanted to be able to see your books, though.

Water bottles can also substitute as weights (and you don't have to worry about shaking them up).

Mostly, I do Wii Fit, so I don't really have much exercise information that isn't videogame related.

I like the fabric idea. We can't even go in the solarium right now without risking heat stroke so what they look like doesn't matter so much at the moment.

Once we get the tv and Wii set up again, I can do Wii Fit though I think it will be appalled at how much weight I have gained since I last played in September.

I was thinking of leaving them filled until I needed to store them again but point taken.

Are you still at the lady gym? Do they have free weights?

I am and they don't. It's very structured and I don't have to think about anything at all, which is what made it a good way to get started. Kind of.

I'll check into those! I'm mostly into things that take up as little space as possible so that sounds about what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the book recommendation.
