Graphics question...

Sep 13, 2009 21:23

I finally made a new banner for the baby site, only I made it in Photoshop so now the font is all fuzzy. Is there anything I can do to make it sharper when I save it or do I need to start over in Illustrator?

Gaah! Hmm, maybe if you save it as a different type of file? (I don't know what that one is).

Illustrator is just more reliable with fonts overall. I wish Photoshop gave you the little preview of the font in the font list like Illustrator does, since I have a billionty fonts.

I tried saving as a PNG, GIF, and JPG. They all look about the same except the JPG is more artifact-y.

I may attempt to remake it in Illustrator, the font part at least.

Create the image as a larger, oversized, image. Then reduce it down to what you want. Also, stick with .png. In my estimation, it's the less lossy of the lossy formats.
