#100:
Muppets Most Wanted - While on a grand world tour, The Muppets find themselves wrapped into an European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit the Frog look-alike and his dastardly sidekick. [imdb]
When it comes to Muppet movies, if it makes me laugh, I don't have much to complain about. That was the case for Muppets Most Wanted; the humor was on point and the Muppets were the focus of the story, and that's all I ask. I liked the songs - it felt like there were more than last time, or at least more original ones - and I thought the vast number of cameo appearances were well-done. If I were an entertainment celebrity type person, I'd be begging to get just one line in a Muppet movie, and that's what most of them seem to have done. (I don't know about the begging part.) I like the continuing trend of callbacks to earlier movies (the last song made me so happy) but I think if they're going to continue doing more, they should break it up a little instead of the continuous canon that's been happening.
So 100 things finally comes to a close for this LJ. It was supposed to be done in 100 days, instead of two years. I had also intended to write more about previously-viewed movies and things caught on TV, but clearly that did not happen. And it's not like I'm going to stop seeing or writing about movies now that it's done, so in the end, all I think we really got out of this was consistent formatting.
In the words of the pig - the other pig - that's all, folks!
