Some of you who are reading this know that I like cooking. I just launched a new blog and online cooking resource at http://kitchenhacker.net. Ok, read. One very basic thing -- don't forget to include links to online tools (such as your favorite volume converters) in their definitions on the guide.

Otherwise -- the guide is definitely useful and will be moreso as you add to it. I'm also interesed in the blog -- have you read Tom Colicchio's _Think Like a Chef?_ His aim is to move home chefs away from dependence on recipes and to think more about what ingredients go well together, and what cooking techniques are most useful/appropriate for the ingredients. The info seems pretty basic but I like his approach. Let me know if you haven't read it and I'll lend you my copy.
