I don't know it. I don't believe I can really say I've ever felt it before. I've heard it described. I've heard people say they felt that way, but I've never understood it. It might have something to do with my opinion on it ( Read more... )

sometimes there are explanations beyond what science can tell us. Some of us cherish romantic non-sexual interactions with others...

I hate not being able to properly explain my position, it's makes for annoying misunderstandings in all respects >_<

I comment on how a couple of people are friends, than they decide to "take it to the next level" by introducing a level of intimacy into the relationship. Adding terms like boy- and girlfriend, just so they can be in a grown up relationship. Possibly getting married. In my opinion, marriage is not supposed to be an example of love, but an example of one's possesion of their partner (and considering the rather patriarchial history we have, more the man owning the woman).

the classical religious form of marriage I agree with you on. However there are many of those who believe that marriage doesn't involve religion and is more of a bonding of souls, a mutual respect and love that two people share to complete themselves. They promise their life, heart and soul to another person mutually because they feel a connection deeper than a want for procreation or companionship. A feeling of belonging with someone of which the depth cannot be expressed in words or actions. This, I believe is the closest humans can come to express the emotion of love.
