It was good TV and I enjoyed watching it but it raised so many questions about the writer, the series, the plot and the characters . . . I won't be buying the DVD. I don't like the whole "I'm not gay, it's just Jack," thing. I don't like it in fanfic for any series and I don't see it's any different when I know the writer is gay. Does being gay make it okay to write that shit? Seriously? I did like some parts (the shallower part of me *really* like naked!Jack and handcuffed!Jack *g*) although I thought the fate of Stephen was way too obviously signposted. It was no surprise at all to me. The politicians were treated a little too kindly for my taste until the end when the PM showed what a true politician he is - very true to expectations *g* But in the end, I was left wondering why. Why break Jack? Why did 456 want human children? Why children? Why now and not ten years ago or twenty years from now? If 12 children last 40+ years, why do they want so many more this time? Just why?
