"Your hair is singed," Carson said, frowning slightly in what was a completely misleading expression of concern. Not that he wasn't concerned -- he was more concerned than he was trying to let on.

"Burnt to a crisp," Rodney interrupted, breezily, as if he were pleased. Carson thought Rodney probably thought Radek had got what he deserved.

"Rodney." Carson gave him a stern look, but Rodney didn't seem to notice. Carson sighed and turned back to Radek, grasping his lover's chin in his hand and staring at him. "Singed, though it's clear that it could have been much worse." The burns were not all that far from his eyes, and just a few inches could have made things a great deal more serious.

Radek just looked back, unrepentantly. His only 'injury' was the singed hair; the burn pattern marked the wide circle of the shower of sparks that had hit him.

"Have you learnt your lesson about sneaking up on Rodney when he's working?" Carson asked, though he knew the answer.

As expected, Radek just shook his head. Then he grinned, tongue lolling -- which he gave Rodney's hand a swipe with, as though apologising.

"Hmph," was all Rodney said. "You're just lucky you have paws for the next ten hours, or you'd be the one down there right now fixing the damn thing."

Tony tried to find the front door key, fumbling slightly with what was perfectly justified nervousness. Beside him, Gibbs stood patiently, thankfully not saying a word.

He found the key and slid it into the lock, pretending that the act of letting them into his apartment was engaging enough that he didn't have to carry on a conversation. He wasn't sure he could think of anything clever to say that wasn't "Are you insane? Really?"

There was too good of a chance that Gibbs would realise he *was* acting insanely, and would come to his senses and leave. Thought maybe he *ought* to--

"Tony." The word was his only warning, then Gibbs had his hand on Tony's arm and was turning him, gently but firmly. Tony let himself be turned, found himself staring at his boss -- the memory of the kiss still burning in his brain, on his lips, and dear god but all he wanted was another one. Not a calm lecture about this sort of thing could never, ever happen, and they would pretend it never had.

Then hands were in his hair and there was a wall at his back, and Gibbs was pressing against him, and his mouth was exactly the same as the fifteen-minutes-old memory of their first kiss.

Tony grabbed onto Gibbs' waist and held him, or maybe he was holding himself up, and there was a thought in the back of his brain that maybe, just maybe, there was a reason this was a bad idea and it had something to do with the fact Gibbs was his boss.

But right at the moment, with the kiss not stopping and a hand working its way down Tony's hip, Tony thought that maybe he could think of him as 'Jethro.'

"I'm pretty sure it's the necklace," John said, fidgeting slightly as they stood there in front of the gate. Dr. Weir just folded her arms and gave him that look which said she was not impressed, not amused, and somebody had better stop doing this sort of thing if he wanted to keep his puddle jumper privileges.

"We tried to remove it, but it would not come off," Teyla put in, no doubt trying to help.

"We're hoping Carson, or maybe Radek, can help with that," John said quickly, trying to show Weir that they were on top of the problem.

More or less.

Rodney gave him a sad look, and tugged at the rope. John kept his hand firmly on his end; they'd learned the hard way not to let Rodney wander freely. Ronon had spent half an hour trying to chase Rodney off the rocky outcropping, and had sworn that once Rodney was back to himself, somebody named McKay owed him a dozen chocolate chip cupcakes.

"You do recall me saying 'try not to get transmorgified?" Weir asked.

"Um. Yeah?" John didn't see how any of this was their fault. It wasn't like they *tried* to find out just how many animals they could get turned into.

Weir sighed. "FIne. Just... go get him changed back before the debriefing." She waved at them, and John led his team towards the infirmary.

Teyla glanced at Rodney, then over at John. In a low voice, she asked, "Do you suppose we could sheer him, before he is turned back into a human?"

Rodney let out a fierce "Baaa!" and tried to run. John held onto the rope, and said, "If you can talk someone into holding him still for it, be my guest. Maybe it'll teach him not to touch weird alien devices."
