What do you do when the country you live in, or a group you belong to, or any entity that you are associated with, does something you find objectionable? What if is something serious, such as oppressing your right to free speech or violating the Constitution in some other way, or racist or other bigoted behavior?

You can take the American out of America, but you can't take the America out of the American. We have to stay and fight. There is a lot of good in the people here and we're what is keeping it from getting even worse. IMO. Though on the bad days, I do wonder if I'm doing any good at all. I gave blood yesterday. And I'm going to the only MFA program in the world with a social justice component. A drop in the bucket. But maybe important drops?
