I'll continue the silence this week, but at least I can squeeze an update like blood from a turnip while at work here. My home computer monitor is babysitting the work computer until a new one can arrive via stork apparently, which means most of my intarwebs browsing is done by Wii - and like hell I'm typing anything with that ( Read more... )

You can now use a USB keyboard with the Wii's Internet Channel, if so inclined.

I would be so inclined if I had one. Every keyboard I've owned since 2000AD has been rescued from a dumpster. About 4 of them at this point. All in perfect working condition and clean, to boot (though I would clean them again before use). None of them, however, have been USB. Since people always seem to toss them out so often I can't bring myself to actually buy one, but if I pray hard enough to Saint Refuse perhaps someone will throw out a USB-adapter soon.

I should give you my friend code - once I find out what it is.

They are remaking The Day the Earth Stood Still starring Keanu Reeves & Jennifer Connelly, I mean Dildo Chick. Mother fuckers just keep remaking sci-fi classics and RUINING them.

Granted, it's not out yet but with all the plethora of good actors they pick dildo chick who basically has poorer acting skills that a mop with a wig on it? COME ON!

Guaranteed to be a uber bloated digital effects extravaganza with no plot. Fuck you hollywood its bad enough that you steal all horror movies from Japan now. Might as well change the name to Remakewood.

Ugh, I know. Keanu Barada Nikto. Seriously, I don't think dildo chick has smiled in a movie in the last 15 years. She's a srs act0r.

They're also remaking Robocop. And Dune (again). And Alice in Wonderland. And Rock 'n Roll Highschool. And The Wolfman (granted, it's with Benicio del Toro). And Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. And Star Trek. And Red Sonja. And A Nightmare on Elm Street. And Friday the 13th.

The list goes on...

Though, not all those movies are particularly good, but it shows just how desperate hollywood is getting by remaking fucking attack of the killer tomatoes! Wtf?! Seriously? I mean, even if they improved upon it, I still can't imagine it'd be worth seeing. Red Sonja on the otherhand is the good kind of cheese that had serious potential, so I'm looking forward to that - but damn, Robocop? And the guy who directed Requiem for a Dream is directing it! The guy who made dildo-chick, dildo-chick!

I actually like most of Darren Aronofsky's output - well, Pi and The Fountain, at least - but RfaD, while well-done, was too fucking hipster-chic the way most heroin abusers aren't. The shit about the refrigerator attacking the mom was hilarious, though.

Oh, and Rose Mcgowan is playing Red Sonja. Pretty good pick, IMO - especially after having seen her in Planet Terror ( ... )
