One thing I'm having a hard time getting used to about working at Google is dealing with what seems to be a torrent of negativity from people I know that only continues to grow in intensity. Don't get me wrong; I certainly understand where it comes from, I think much of it is warranted, and I agree with some of it. But I do think some of it is way

If you could wipe their cached search database that would be pretty cool, I don't want to run for president someday and have the media ask me why I was looking up "7 yo fucks horse" or "burly men xxxxxxxxx"

it's not really worth the energy to combat prejudice like that. they feel how they feel, trying to think about it too much will just stress you out. If the fact that you now work for Evil Corporation that isn't really evil gets in the way of your friendships or interactions with them, that's their issue, not yours.
