Ah, Nadesico

I bought the Martian Successor Nadesico boxset yesterday, and started watching it for the first time in nearly a decade. I just finished the tenth episode (the obligatory beach episode), and thought to myself, oh, Akito, you bastard. Three gorgeous women chasing him around with their (admittedly toxic) cooking in hand, and all he can do is whine

And it gets so annoying after awhile! It might be a little better if the guy angsted over it some, but usually he just sweatdrops and then tries to ignore the situation :P

I actually like the fact that Akito doesn't angst about his impossible love life. It's like he knows that he's the envy of every man onboard, and that he should have it good, but he can't figure out what the hell to do with them, so he just ignores them.

Personally, I would have stuck with Megumi until she dumped me around midseason, and then moved on to a lasting relationship with Ryoko-chan (whom I was rooting for, anyway). Yurika is just too... mental.
