1. What candela intensity is required to blind a person? (I expect that it's dependent on what the ambient level of light is before the flash, but how much?) I'm sure there's a range. Wikipedia says flash bangs have about one million candela; this one is rated at 6-8 million at 5 feet.

2. How much light is blocked by having your eyelids closed?
