So Chad and I were out shopping and he decided to stop in at the liquor store off Spring garden to get some booze. I walk up to him and he is trying to talk but it just sounds like ( Read more... )

That guy is like the one honest bum in hfx. If I gave anyone change it would be him. At least with him standing outside the liquor store I pretty much know what he's looking for.

Yeah really, though. I don't mind him, the older lady in from of the CIBC bank by HMV and the flag guy on the boardwalk.

The guy is deaf. He was giving out little paper things sponsored by the hard of hearing people one evening. His speech is the kind of speech you have when you learn how to talk without actually being able to hear words spoken around you.

That hand kiss is still creepy though. Do you know where his lips have been?? Eww...

I figured it was something like that. He had a thing in his hand but he didn't try to give me one.*shrug*
Oh trust me, I didn't touch ANYTHIGN until I got home and the first thing I did after taking my boots off was wash my hand. :)

That's the liquor store pirate. He speaks a language called "hobo".

I once went to a Halloween party and someone was dressed up as that guy. That dude was my hero for the evening.

I'd heard he was missing his tongue, though the deaf thing seems to make sense. I've had small talk with him a couple of times, "how are you" "nice day", etc. He seems to understand what I'm saying ok, I'm the one that can barely understand him.
My roomates all call him Dabba Doo. Its horrible but kinda funny.
