Just came back from the entrance exams. They were okay, except for the History paper, which asked me (seriously) about the sixth-century French Merovingian king Philo-something-or-other. You were expected to assess the literary skills of a king? Interesting. Imagine if we were given a source written by Bush or somethng, all our papers would be like "The source is unreliable as the writer is clearly deluded and self-righteous. He bombed Iraq and killed oh, about 10 thousand people. The source hence cannot be considered.

PS Mr Examiner, if you are a Republican, today is Opposite Day! Please take the flip-side of all points in the essay.

If you are a Democrat, WHAT I'M SAYING IS SO TRUE AND YOU KNOW IT. PLEASE GIVE ME MARKS."

Love those questions that ask you to analyze things. Rambling on about how this character's motivation affected that character's particular action is what got me through my humanities courses ;)
