So here's how our H1M went:
Planned for a really simple dinner somewhere cosy and inexpensive but guess what... Surprise sprang!!! He brought me to La Barca Ristorante & Wine Bar which is helmed by a Michelin starred chef Michele Sorrantino!! I was so excited because the food must be damn good ;)
We were given complimentary bread with chicken liver pate just as we sat down heeheehee. Took a really long time to decide on what to eat because there were many choices!
La Minestra Di Farri E Fagioli Borlotti
Farro & Borlotti Bean Soup
$20
Really overpriced and it didn't taste that good to be honest! So disappointed, especially when it's $20 for a bowl of soup.
I Tortelli Di Pecorino Con Fonduta Di Parmigiano Gratinati Al Tartufo
Fresh Handmade Pecorino-filled Tortelli with Parmesan Cream and Seasonal Truffles
$35
This dish was the bomb!!! The parmesan cream was to die for, it was the best that I've tasted to date. We loved it so much and he was practically snatching the cream away from me >:(
II Piccione Ripieno Con Verdure E Salsa Carbonara Al Pepe
Braised Pigeon with Carbonara Sauce, served with Roasted Potatoes, Broccoli and Spinach
$50
As stated in the menu this was meant for 2 persons so we decided to have a go at it and it turned out pretty good! But the pecorino-filled tortelli with parmesan was definitely better xoxo I love you dish lol!!!
II Tortino Di Cooccolato Nero Con Salsa Di Cioccolato Bianco
Dark Chocolate Tart with White Chocolate Sauce
$16
Just place an order for this if you're heading to La Barca someday. Nuff said.
So judging on the dishes and wine we ordered... It amounted to a good $200+!??!?! Hehe thank you for the treat!!! :)
(coming from a poor broke girl ha ha ha)
28th :)
That's all for the night!!!
xoxo
