Until last Sunday, Flyer was a happy, healthy, silly Flat-Coat. Then she had the first of a series of Grand Mal seizures. Her condition declined rapidly over the week. We were hoping an infection of some sort was the cause, but the lab results came back today. There was no infection to treat. We let her go to the Bridge this afternoon ( Read more... )

What a terrible shock - my condolences on your loss. Take comfort in the fact that a dog couldn't have been more loved, and you'll always have the memories of the joy you gave each other.

Oh Theresa, I'm just so very sorry! All I can say is that watching your journal before, during, and after your stroke, the steps Flyer made to help make your life a better place were always evident. She was a joy to those of us who never even met her. Few humans can say as much, proof positive that she was a very special soul.

No matter how many times I have to send a pet off, it never gets easier. Sorrow now and remember her with love.
