the people at Masaryk University have already emailed my advisor to tell me they'll accept me to their program, but i still have to write then an essay explaining why i want to go. why do i want to go? well, look:

1. Your essay shoudl have the sentence "Things are more colourful there." in it somewhere.
2. At the deerhoof concert in berlin, I met this badass expatriate programmer who lives there, who had spent like an entire month's salary to go to Berlin and then stayed in a squat, solely to go to the Deerhoof concert. He was my hero. Unfortunately I think I inadvertantly offended him because I was drunk and I got dumped at that concert, but that is another LJ entry entirely and I am kind of in hiding right now.
