I'm not taking behind the wheel anymore. Apparently Z's and my teacher told my mother that he was uncomfortable working with me because of my disability. The whole thing with my left hand. Yadda Yadda Yadda. Though......he told me I was doing fine. Whatever. I can still practice driving with the 'rents. I'll take behind the wheel some other ( Read more... )

How do you feel about your instructor bailing?

Kind of POed. It's really annoying. He tells me I'm doing fine, suggests I use the kind of steering wheel with the ball thingy on it and then tells Mom he's uncomfortable. *grumbles* But it's fine. Not a huge loss.

I think it's kind of weird. Do you have trouble gripping with that hand? (If you did, this would not prevent you from driving, but we can't ASSUME that you'll be one of those incapable of driving without yakking on the phone.)

I hope you get someone capable of dealing with something out of the ordinary next time. :P

I had a little trouble gripping but I was able to hold the steering wheel and such with it. It was fine mostly.

Yes...hopefully I will find someone capable next time.

It's not like I'm going to buy a car anytime soon. No mula=no car.

Oh, sure. But it can be very handy to have a license anyway. (I didn't own a car until shortly before I got married. Did a lot of driving, though.) Rental cars, driving drunk/tired friends home, being able to drive parents' cars...the bennies add up.

I get to go to California and see my little baby nephew whom I haven't met yet since I decided to go to San Francisco instead of Irvine over rodeo break.

:) We look forward to seeing you.

Oh I know! I just feel that I lose air when I breathe. lol. So I just go through the 33 feet of my pool without breathing. It gets a bit hard on my lungs after about 4 laps but hey! Practice. Where do you swim? Maybe we could do laps together one of these days.
