I'm going to be starting a wordpress or BlogSpot site to start writing articles and showcasing samples of my writing so I can start doing some web content, writing jobs, things like that

That's a great idea! I love it when you write as an observer of life. You'd be a great columnist the way you get at what is real about our human experience with wit and wisdom. I'd say just be aware of what is going on around you on a regular day and then ponder and write about it. You have been guilty in the past of making something riveting out of the mundane, and I suspect you're a serial offender.

Thanks love - you're always so supportive :D I have a bunch of ideas (if I can read my writing. I wrote the list when on an Ambien high and my handwriting gets pretty atrocious) and hopefully I can write coherently on some of them. I just wish I could mentally write and have it translate to the page. *sighs*

I'm a serial dork, is what. Also, I started the DBT today - they're not fooling around with that stuff, are they? They want a one year commitment to a group and all that. Dude. But if it helps ...

I think it is a great idea! (Obviously.) You are scary smart and got some serious wit and a sharp tongue. All good things in my book.

I'd love to follow such a blog-thing. :-)

Really. One thing one could do is check the newspapers. And then if something strikes you that day, write about that.

Also, there is a never ending source of material in the LGBT world, isn't it? So just pick your poison there.

Not many know about fandoms and fanfic and what that is either (unless you are secretly involved with it, of course). So writing about that, but from another point of view could get interesting to.

I don't know. This was just stuff from the top of my head. I'd be very interested to see what you come up with though! :-D

I will, as soon as I have a title and what have you. Gotta brainstorm that stuff and my FQF too, coming up! And thanks Emma, that's really kind of you to say, even more cause I know you mean it.

My prior therapist suggested I might want to work with LGBT youth in our area. Hard to believe that in Redneckland where I live, that there IS such a group, but apparently its large and growing, so there are some definite topics there. I've thought about writing about fandom, cause Twitter gives me ammunition, dude.

Well, if I didn't mean it, I wouldn't say it. :-) But I guess I am one of few who works like that. ;-) *grin*

I think LGBT people exist everywhere. It is just a matter how easy or hard it is to be open about it. And hepp! There you have another subject: LGBT youth in Redneckland. ;-)

Sounds like you have some ideas already, if you ask me. :-D And GOOD ones to!

Anything? That's pretty broad, babe. Are you looking for serious "this is world changing" type stuff to weigh in on or fluff pieces here and there? Current events? Historical debate? My mind, it races! You could always try a piece on the current state of social media since people are starting to insist that Facebook is about to go the way of MySpace. I really have a ton of ideas, but I doubt you want me to just word-vomit them all here in a comment at once. lol

Pretty much anything. Anything that someone might read and think, "hmmm, I'd like to see more of this." And seriously, I can go on about multiple topics, ad nauseum. And hell, I'm about to give up Facebook cause if I see one more gun debate or cat video, I might shoot myself with a cat gun.

(And I love animals, so you know this is big)

I've stopped checking my FB recently. I mean I look at it, but I end up arbitrarily scrolling through half of it because it's just picture memes and shit I don't care about. I feel like I've lost touch with most of the people associated with things like my Twitter (which I haven't even looked at in months) and FB. Maybe that's a good topic: how our "friends" become little more than cyber noise on social media sites after about the 100th picture post. The drift in humanity that happens yet we seem to still "need" our social media. Eh, this is why I'm not a columnist. lol My topics are broad and already beat to death. Also, cat gun, why is this not a thing? The internet loves cats and guns. How is it that no one's combine them yet? Let's make millions selling this idea for t-shirt designs and gif rights.
