Today marks two full years of having a Small Ball. We are continuously amazed by what she can do. She speaks in full sentences fairly frequently. She can count to 10 in three languages (and almost to 20 in one). She's getting good at solving puzzles. We can occasionally reason her out of a tantrum (very, very occasionally ( Read more... )

This has been a crazy weekend so far, and it's not over because it's a long weekend. On Saturday, we went to synagogue then to circus jam and then I had a show in the evening. Today Small Ball arranged words to express a fairly sophisticated concept for a not-yet-two-year old. We were in Joanne's and she called a blue ribbon flower a hair bow. I said no, it wasn't. Things are looking very positive with the circus center, or at least phase 1 of the circus center. We have a probable venue... we met with the owner and saw the space today. It's one of those so impossibly perfect I'm waiting for the catch types of things. The space is really good for what we need and the venue owner is really nice and supportive. ( Read more... )
