Once I was walking down the beach with my ukulele and this kid yelled, "heyyyy, that's how you play CUTE METAL."
And he's right, you know. I sometimes play like I'm wearing a ripped t-shirt and a bandana, grabbing my balls.
PS, thank you for your congratulations re: matrimony. I feel free, marvellously free, or maybe that's the unemployment.

Hey, has Jody worked on trying to get you to go to Burning Man? Maybe you two should get married there.

I've been sold on burning man for the last couple years. it looks as though I'm actually going to make it to the playa this year, finances permitting.
it would be a nice place to get hitched, but none of my people would be there. the "wedding" is just a formality as far as I'm concerned, so ideally I'd like to wait a year or so, save some cash and throw a great party next summer.

i've been meaning to ask you, where did you learnto make musical instruments? did you attend some sort of music-craft school?

anyhows, like every enterprising 21st centurian, i learned from a book, then from the computer, and hopefully by the end of this summer, from real actual people. this is why i still dont really know how to make musical instruments, per se, but only how to make one specific subset of one musical instrument. its still fun, though.
