it's a shame you don't know what you're running from

I always knew I'd get around to writing apocalypse fic eventually. A trio flee London, and resettle on the cliffs of Cornwall. No spoilers as such, apart from characters. There is also a reference back to this.

Wow that was really really beautiful.

hands burrowed into the sleeves of his sweater, head down. He leans against the wall, too tall for the door-frame

Such a gorgeous visual. You really bring the story to life with descriptions like this. *hugs*

:) Thank you!

I love writing in little descriptions like that. *g* I wanted to convey that Dimitri was not really being himself, 'perpetual good cheer' gone and all because of the situation.

Glad you enjoyed! *hugs*

I couldn't write apocalypse without hope. *g*

Thank you! It would be a terrifying situation, wouldn't it? I wouldn't mind if it meant I was stuck in a cottage on the sea with Dimitri, though.

Glad you enjoyed. :)

OH, YOU. z!OMG I miss checking LJ and when I finally get a chance to THIS IS WHAT I FIND?! I have so much love for this I can't even. I wish I could express it better, but I fear you will find mostly flailing, atm. LOL. The visuals, the solemnness of mood, DIMITRI TAKING THE WHISKEY BOTTLE AND BETH'S HEAD ON HIS SHOULDER. All of these things that just make them, them. And what never ceases to amaze me is that you can take them out of their "element" like being on The Grid, and yet it's so perfectly in character and fitting. In fact, can we get this storyline in order for S10? DO WANT.

Touch becomes a currency in its own right, an exchange of thought without the expenditure of breath.

BRILLIANT.

Dimitri walking the beach, and Tariq tuning the old radio...the sense of hope in an otherwise tough situation, just everything about this is wonderful. ajwoeiruwer!

I only realised when I started writing this how badly I've been wanting to write apocalypse fic since forever. LOL.

I'm so glad it's still in character; and they'd all deal with it differently - Beth with vices, Tariq with distraction, Dimitri with retreating into himself - but they all still need the reassurance of the others being there, you know? AHAHA, WHISKEY BOTTLE IS IN REFERENCE TO MY OWN CANON. Is that sad? IDK.

In fact, can we get this storyline in order for S10? DUDE, IF I COULD WRITE FOR THIS SHOW, DO YOU KNOW HOW DIFFERENT IT WOULD BE??? Kjkfdfs.

I LOVE the image of Dimitri walking a long beach in the half-dark with giant cliffs in front. *g*

Thanks, bb!
