But I have to say my favorite part this section was MATTHEW DESCRIBING THE FRONT/WAR...I CANNOT.

FINISHED. It reminds me so much of a bit of commentary in Parade's End where Ford Madox Ford acknowledges a very similar sentiment and I FLAILED. Oh, to have seen a bit more of Matthew's perspective like this in the show...I would have loved it. OH MATTHEW. SO BROKEN. SO HAUNTED. And you write it as always so poetically. LOVE.
