YOU SENT WILLIAM INTO WAR. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I HATE YOU. (But not really. hehe.)
And as if that wasn't enough Matthew and Mary have to be so worried over him. It's such a sad reality that the next generation went into war right after their parents. IT HURTS. THANK YOU for ending on a hopeful note though. Otherwise, I don't think my heart could have taken it.
Plus, those last three lines of the Eliot poem broke me. "I was neither living nor dead..." how TRUE of those boys at war. How very true.
Ugh. I feel like my words can't express enough how outstanding this was, bb. It was so very Downton but also so very YOURS. You should be so proud of it, Z. Your writing is always just so stunning. I HOPE YOU WILL CONTINUE WRITING FOR THEM IN S3. AJWOREIUWEROU.
I DID I DID I'M SORRY. But it is very true and very cruel that that next generation was ushered into war as well, so I just had to. I thought about putting him into another avenue, like intelligence, but the RAF seemed a better fit. BUT IT IS STILL HORRIBLE.
Thank you, bb. It means a lot. And I will be writing more of them, don't you worry. :)
