well, sure, that was the soup i was born in, so to speak. i just recently sold my copy of the scroll version of OTR, that is, the verbatim unedited transcription. great book, erm, version. but i'll tell ya, my favorite book of his was the dharma bums, for all that gary brought to it and his mind. the sad thing for me was his alcoholism though. not for his ultimate demise caused by it but it's influence throughout. i let it go and move on, digging what allen did with his life and gary with his, and burroughs with his, and so on
