So what is this community for again?
* zunebg is very similar to an icon sharing community. You make a post with some of your own manipulated images [ex. an example] that will be shared to other members. The point is for images to be uploaded to someone's Zune to be used as a background.
I've also seen these images used as User Info banners with proper credit to the maker. Why not give it a try to spruce up your bio? :)
Wait. What's Zune?
* Though not the official name for the device, a Zune is widely known as Microsoft's iPod equivalent. Wiki knows the rest.
What's the standard size for these backgrounds?
Well, when I searched for some on the Internet, I found the standard image size to be around 240x320 px. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Okay, what image editing software can I use? How do I make these backgrounds?
Oh, there's plenty to use. Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Firefox, GIMP, etc; it all depends on what you can get your hands on. You make the backgrounds similar to making an LJ icon (I don't know how else to explain it). Just be creative, and don't resort to simply cropping an image and putting it in a post.
