Based off of what we have seen with this election, I really think the Republican Party is going through an identity crisis. Some people are calling for a split. It is my sincere hope that split happens.

It would be nice to see the Republican Party get back to what it was before it got into bed with the extreme Religious Right and sanctioned bigotry.

Let us remember, it was a man from the Republican Party that abolished slavery.

Regarding Sarah, I think she will act as a catalyst for opposing factions within the party to essentially go to war with each other. She's much like a Hillary Clinton - many love her and what she represents, others loathe her for the same reason. We're starting to see that split come out in the open now while the republicans are doing some soul searching.
