Zura,

You're interview will be awesome. I don't even have to listen to know. Unfortunately, I'll be out - that's when I pick up Dora from school :( Do they save a recording? I really want to listen!

Yes, they archive the interviews for a good while, so you can listen later. thanks for the vote of confidence. I am mostly worried about my accent making me sound stupid.

You needn't worry about that at all, m'dear! You're smart - and that's going to come through no matter what!

I'll definitely be checking out the recording!

we lived in alabama for 2 years... met some really intelligent people who had southern accents (didn't i read somewhere you have a southern accent?)... anyway, it's not the accent, it's the way you present yourself.

you'll be fantastic!!!

(i'll have to listen later, but am looking forward to it. i always learn so much from those interviews.)

You'll do just fine! Don't think about "people out there" ... just have a conversation with Delona and the time will probably be up before you know it. There are a lot of "people out there" with accents of all varieties. We just get used to thinking that the voices in the media are the norm -- and many of them have worked with coaches to lose accents and regionalisms.

Delona has asked me to call in later in the show, so you'll be among friends and won't have to carry the whole thing yourself. Try to enjoy it as a new experience ... that's how I'm trying to think of it. Take a deep breath. Hey, take two! :)

=^..^=
