My keystone course drives me nuts. I mean, it's fun, but we'll read Science Fiction stories, and *shakes head* they don't understand the concept of discussing a piece of literature. Largely because of the people in my seminars... I feel completely unmotivated to go to class now. Especially when they don't say anything interesting.

Student to TA in wonderful wonderful comp. lit class that really should have had a ltierature prerequisite: But this isn't true! I'd much rather read something that's true.

Stupefied TA: But... fiction can deal with truth more than non-fiction -- truth like, oh, the problem of evil.

Student was left even more baffled than before, never having understood the whys of mythology I suppose.
