I haven't been able to meet with the adoption agency b/c of work and moving and everything going on. The counselor started conducting some of the questions via email and she just emailed me back that she doesn't think adoption is the right choice in my situation and that she has strong faith in my parenting ability and thinks that I am the best

Its refreshing to see this. I never sought out any adoption advice, but did use some low-income and faith-based resources as I waited for my Medicaid to kick in ---and somehow that made me targeted by several groups that were downright coercive.

If you still need anyone to talk to, feel free to contact me. And hey..if its a boy, and you do make the final decision to parent..consider yourself first in line for hand-me-downs. I've been blessed with barely used things that Ray also is barely using before he outgrows them, and I'd love to have someone else to pass them on to.

I think the point she missed as the fact that I am not concerned about my ability as a parent. I am concerned about being able to financially provide for the child plus the safety concerns with my ex involved
