I think we need to have a future-dated post at the top of the comm for these people who keep requesting membership without putting their birthdates in their profiles. There have been two tonight, one of which was approved (I don't know why) and so it seems like it's something people aren't catching on the profile page. I just want there to be able to be a way to have something that says - hey, if you haven't been accepted, chances are it's the lack of birthdate!
Well this post (the mod post) should appear at the top, because it's not friends-locked. I think there's another mod post above it though; I could lock the second post so that this one is the only one they see ?
I approved a couple of usernames because they'd affirmed their birthdates to me in PM, even though they hadn't listed them in their profiles. But yeah; we need to keep a rein on this. I'm gonna f-lock the 2nd mod post so this one is all that they see.
I was denied membership, but I'm 18 and I have my birthday (May 23, 1990) displayed in my profile. Was this an oversight or did I accidental do something to annoy the mods? :(
Just to let you know, your birthdate is not visible to people who are not on your friendslist, unless you select that option in your profile editor. I think that's the reason you've been denied membership.
