Mittwoch fange ich ein neuen Job an. Ich muss in meinem neuem Job sehr reisen, tatsächlich muss ich nächstem Dienstag nach New York fliegen, um früh am Mittwoch dort zu sein. Ich hoffe, dass ich dann mehr bloggen kann. Aber, am Anfang habe ich kein persönlichen Computer, und sie wollen mich meinen Arbeitscomputer für persönlichen Dinge nicht zu

Actually I've only got written policy now. I don't know what the "real" company culture is. Written policy often is there to keep folks from being sued. But I'll follow it unless I learn otherwise - except I'll certainly check personal email on it. They certainly can't expect folks who travel not to do that.

But since I have thought about getting a powerbook, I find that I really want one. I do a lot of Macintosh specific stuff - notably video editing and such - in my spare time which I want to continue to do when I'm travelling. And I love the OS much more than windows. So I am seriously looking at the little 12" powerbook as a travel computer for evenings. Since it only weighs 4 pounds it can't be too bad to travel with. And I've found a neat rolling computer bag that will accomodate two computers.

I'll translate this into German later this weekend.
