Inspired by a conversation I had earlier today, I discovered that there is actually a "debate" as to one space / two spaces after the period at the end of a sentence. I had no idea.

Apparently, many people argue that two spaces are an artifact of the typewriter-monospaced-font era, and that modern fonts and word processors make them unecessary. ( Read more... )

Hmmmm, that's a very interesting debate! I never knew it an issue, and I had no idea that the two spaces rule originated with the use of typewriters. Although the articles claim that word processors take care of the spacing issues automatically, I still think that double spaces are a bit more aesthetically pleasing (not that I ever noticed before now) and facilitate easier reading.

And I LOVE that music video!!! I haven't seen it in ages...what a blast from the past! That squirrel just cracks me up. :-D
