fwiw I haven't had time to talk about my new GP but I did talk to him about the Vit D thing. Words like "panacea" and "the new thyroid test" came out of his mouth pretty quickly, combined with cautioning that yes, for some people it is a factor that can make a difference. He didn't think it would help with someone pained via hyper-mobility, though, so he thinks it's not for me. I hope it helps you.

Yeah, your hyper-mobile thing certainly throws a monkey wrench in the situation. (I was torn between writing "throws a monkey wrench" and "really cocks things up"... but hyper-mobile cocks just seemed weird)

I admit though I've never really understood when doctors poo-poo something like this... blood work is simple enough, and if the values are low, then the fix is to simply take a vitamin. If it helps, great, and if not, at least your body is getting more of what it needs anyway. *shrug* It's not like it's an opiate or some experimental thing, heh... just a simple vitamin. Of course, I can't imagine being a doc and trying to keep up with all the research about stuff; I think the world of internet technology changes fast, but it ain't nothing like the world of medicine!

I hope it helps too, that's fo-sho. Gonna try to keep logs of how I feel to see if I notice any changes.... we shall certainly see :)

If you are having focus issues, you can add in a small dose of b-complex in the am. You will end up with a niacin flush about 15 mins after you take it, and you shouldn't take it @ night, as it will make you wakeful.

After I get the VitD settled in for a few weeks, I may well... I've been considering taking VitB for a while. But at this point, I want to do one thing at a time and see what happens... because I am LIVING EXPERIMENT GIRL! Testing the new wave of medical ... uh... well of vitamins on my very own self ;)
