Vitamin D Diary


Well, trying to take my VitD in the evenings was more or less a disaster... I could never remember and had a spotty week or so of not taking my vitamins. Doh. So, back to taking them in the afternoon, and fortunatly the brain fog seems to be fading or gone. All in all, positive indeed.

Also, now that I'm back on it regularly, I'm noticing more clear headedness and energy... it's not consistent and not every day, but present enough that I'm linking it to the VitD. Woot for that!

When I'm out in the sun (rare events, sure, but it happens) I don't take any vitamins. While I'm not sure if my body is turning sun light into VitD correctly, I'm not sure it's a grand idea to risk getting a massive dose by taking my supliments AND getting sunlight. I'm trying to keep an eye on sunscreen... it's obviously important, but it can restrict your ability to metabolize the sun properly.

I asked the Doc when he wants to retest my blood values, and he said six months after I started... so a couple more months, then we see where my levels are. Werd up.

Still with the knee pain... hoping that will fade but again, I just don't know how long these things take to happen, if it's going to happen at all. It's still possible that my knee pain is unrelated to my VitD, but it can't hurt to get my levels up to normal (get it? Can't hurt? I'm so funny!).

There it is then, the saga continues!
